The night of the 29th of May 2010 made Lena an international star. As the runner up she won the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). A year later, with an impressive performance defending champion Lena landed a successful 10th place.

Her first single, ESC winning song ”Satellite“, was sold over 600,000 times in Germany alone and gained double platinum status. Her debut and following albums were also awarded double platinum and spent more than 60 weeks on the number one spot in the German album charts. Lena broke incredible records: she was the first artist to have three songs in the Top Four of the German Single Charts at the same time in 2010. One year later she had six songs in the Top 100 at the same time. On her first tour through Germany she managed to impress over 70,000 fans.

In her young career of only 1½ years the Universal-Artist* won almost every award there is, such as two ECHOs in the categories “Most successful Newcomer” and “Most successful Artist National”, the Golden Camera in the category “Best Music National”, a Goldene Henne in the category “Charm ambassador”, the 1Live Krone in the category “Best Single” (“Satellite”), The German Television Award in the ensemble for “Unser Star für Oslo”, a Comet in the category “Best Artist”, two MTV Europe Music Awards in the categories “Best German Act” and eventually “Best European Act”.

Having now spent two years of hard work on her new album “Crystal Sky“ it will be released in mid-May 2015. Her new sound can be already heard from the single “Traffic Lights“. Certainly, many more awards can be expected for the upcoming album.
