Katie Melua sold over 11 million records worldwide and belongs to the most successful British singers of our century. Her previous six studio albums mostly were international number one hits and were awarded 7x platinum in Germany alone. Her first album was the bestselling British album of 2004. Her third album was the bestselling album of a British artist worldwide in 2007.

In her exciting and record breaking career she won numerous awards such as two ECHOs in the categories “Most Successful Newcomer International” and “Best International Artist Rock/Pop”, a Golden Camera for “Best International Musician” and a World Music Award for “Most Successful British Singer Worldwide”. Some of her special and personal moments were her performance for Nelson Mandela where she shared a stage with the band Queen, when she was invited to Dinner with the Queen of England at Buckingham Palace and her extraordinary concert on the bottom of the North Sea.
